The Division of Urologic Surgery
The broad mission of the Division
of Urology is to:
- provide outstanding, innovative
and compassionate care to patients with genitourinary
problems
- educate medical students, and
residents to be high quality caring physicians
- advance the science of urology
for the benefit of patients
Collectively our faculty has expertise in all areas of clinical
urology. We combine up to date knowledge of cutting edge therapies
with a solid understanding of "standard" practices. While our goal
is to evaluate and treat patients by the most effective methods
we always strive to prescribe what is best for specific patients.
We combine our commitment to excellent patient care with a strong
desire to advance basic, translational and clinical sciences through
an active research program. The collegial environment fostered by
our division provides a fertile soil for resident education and
career development. Our ultimate goal is that our collective efforts
will improve the lives of people afflicted with urologic ailments.
